Breast Cancer UK is a rapidly growing charity. We are different from other cancer charities because:
> we believe that breast cancer is preventable;
> our focus is on primary prevention, rather than early detection and treatment;
> since conventional risk factors relating to lifestyle choices, genetics etc account for around only 50% of cases, we draw attention to the strong body of evidence that points to the role played by environmental pollutants, particularly endocrine disrupting chemicals, in the ever rising incidence of breast cancer.
We want the Government to include environmental pollutants as risk factors in its National Cancer Plan.
